Just on a quick read through Secrets to Better Playing made me think about how I play, how I practice and how I teach. Within a week I have changed my teaching to include sight reading, scales and improvisation every day, and to focus on music reading. My pupils are yet to come back to tell me whether they have enjoyed the experience, but I think they will have improved rapidly, as I have in the last week, in conjunction to playing David's pieces for piano and organ. Well worth the money. Thank you so much David.

Ce bouquin est bourré d’exercices qui boostent non seulement ta technique, mais aussi ta musicalité et ta dextérité. L’approche est super bien organisée, donc tu peux facilement suivre tes progrès, et la diversité des exercices te permet de bosser sur tout ce qui compte : gammes, arpèges, dynamiques, etc. Ce que j’adore, c’est qu’il mélange des exos de base avec des défis plus costauds, donc ça convient à tout le monde, débutant ou pro. Si tu veux peaufiner ta technique, c’est LE livre à avoir. Je te le recommande à 100 % !

David creates interesting variations on well known carols. Many are relatively easy to play.
Hopefully I will be ready to perform them by next Christmas.
