The Complete Collection far surpasses my expectations. I knew David was productive, but I didn't quite capture in my brain that he is hugely productive. He is equally generous, when you consider what you are getting in the Collection, in providing all his material at a ...really... nominal cost.
To be honest, for months I thought "Do I really want to spend the money? Will I get anything out of it?". I am ashamed I doubted. There is A LOT there and now that I have seen the sheet music, his arrangements are not that difficult. Plus, having access to his recordings and books (he's written substantial books to help us) helps me to have encouragement in improving my skills.
I've spent lots of money on Tonebase and other powerhouses, and haven't been helped that much. I've been entertained. After reviewing what I've purchased from David, I know his resources will help me more than all the others combined. Thank you, David.
Wonderful collection, really enjoy the books and materials in the full collection
Hello David.
I want to say that the composition Absolution really captivated me. Despite the fact that this is one whole composition, I hear two or even three independent parts in it.
I will play it for the soul. Thank you!
Sorry for the machine translation.
Hi David,
I've known that you create unique , beautiful and quite sophisticated organ music ever since your composition "Incantation."

I hope to publish the very interesting piece "Absolution" on my YouTube channel "hapeorgelspieler" one day as well. I think I'll be able to present it publicly on YouTube soon, using the sample set "Seifert Organ Goch," possibly even as a shortened version. Before that, as with any new music, I'll need to rehearse it sufficiently. Many thanks in advance for "Absolution."
This is a fabulous piece, and if you are the composer, I just want to say all kudos to you.
David Hicken is my favorite living Pianist-Composer.
I have told him that he is a true peer of Yanni, Thomas Bergersen, and Hans Zimmer. He is.
But David is more- the true inheritor of the mantle of Bach/Chopin/Grieg.
David’s slow pieces are filled with moments of immense beauty.
His fast pieces are filled with unstoppable drive.
Many of his pieces have both qualities.
I am so happy that David went from composing for Organ, to then Piano, and now back to Organ.
Though organ may be David’s self-proclaimed true voice, his foray into 15 Piano Solo albums will make him immortal, via being loved by so many, to whom organ is just a bit too formal.
I first discovered David’s music via his spectacular arrangement of “Carol of the Bells”, then, Incantation. I have never stopped following him since.
His Complete Collections, including his Complete Collections-of-Collections is a blessing to the world at full price, and an incredible gift at this sales price.
Any serious, or even amateur pianist seeking a bit more, would be a fool not to purchase this Collection.
While so many New Age piano composers write loops that AI can now deliver, and so many classical composers write difficult and inaccessible music, David has delivered time, after time, WHOLE ALBUMS of Gems.
His book How to make a living as a Pianist & Composer is worth EVERY CENT, and I follow its advice to a T.
A unique voice of beauty and drive.
This is why David Hicken is my favorite Pianist-Composer.
(His beautiful English-Accented, soft voice, and Handsome looks don’t hurt either!!!)
Incantation ia a fantastic piece.. Original, great rhythm, very well done.
It is my favorite on this album. A great composer with new ideas, a composer to be discovered by everybody.
Opening the downloaded audio collection felt like lifting the lid of a treasure chest - so much to discover. It’s a delight to listen to your music in such high-quality audio. Thank you very much for making it available in full!
I’ve returned to the piano many times – always starting enthusiastically and then the enthusiasm fading away. This time was different: two of David’s instruction books helped me get back on track and stay on track – 'The Ultimate Piano Workout’ and ‘Secrets to Better Piano Playing’. So when I saw the complete collection of all his instruction books, I didn’t have to think twice.
The seven books cover a wide range of topics and skills. They’re full of David’s long experience as a pianist, organist, composer, and teacher, and he shares that experience generously — no holding back, no 'secret knowledge' kept behind a curtain. He genuinely wants the reader to become a better musician, to grow as a musician.
From the books I’ve worked through so far, here’s what stands out to me: they are inspiring, encouraging, motivating. They give me a clear path forward and help me improve my skills without guessing. Moreover, they allow me to make progress again without wasting time or energy, because they spare me the fumbling in the dark I used to get stuck in.
It is a very good performance with unique pieces of music. it is original and very well played. A lots of different styles make this CD enjoyable. He is a great composer !
I got this as I have listened/watched this on YouTube many times and got the sheet music to show my appreciation. Hell I don’t even play the piano but I do enjoy someone who does. X
It's an honor to have a copy of your collection David. The music is my favorite as I listen to every piece often even though it will be a while before I can play some of it. This music is original and that's something not done often in this day and age.
You are one of a kind David and you transport me to the period of the great composers. I'm looking forward to listen to your performance in person.
Thnx a million.
This music paints scenes the way a good film score does, full of movement and emotion. It feels exploratory and youthful, yet very thoughtfully shaped, and already unmistakably David’s own voice.
I’m particularly drawn to these tracks: Paradise Cove, Invisible Souls, Someday, and Wrottesley Hall, one of my favorite of David’s piano pieces. In this version it takes on a widescreen, soundtrack like quality — a real joy to hear in its electronic setting!
This precious collection is a must-have for anyone who appreciates David's music. Now we can practice until we drop. 😉
I started debating whether I should buy this bundle, or the one with organ, and chorales(Im an organist and singer), and I decided to get this one because of an OCU discount I was eligible for. After this I discovered the OCU discount was only for new users, and I asked David what I could do to get my money back, and he generously gave me the full package! Obviously I don't think you should ask for a free discount- because it's already at such a good price, and I highly suggest buying because the music is not only great, it has challenging rhythms, and patterns that I think could be eligible for an RCM etude!
i am amazed by the opportunity to obtain this amount of wonderful compositions in a stunning collection. thank you so much for sharing.
The opportunity David offers to access his wonderful work is an extraordinary gift. I already had several collections of sheet music and instructional books, but I love being able to listen to the YouTube videos following the admired scores. It's not necessary to play them to enjoy them. I also use them to sight-reading study rhythms. It's an immense pleasure to collaborate with my favorite music creator. His work is immense, and I hope he continues for a long time.
The Complete David Hicken Sheet Music Library is an absolute treasure. Even if I’m not able to play every piece — including the organ works — I couldn’t resist getting it. Having all of David’s music gathered in one place is a dream come true for all those who admire him and love his music, and the price makes it feel like a true gift. Thank you, David, for making this possible.
Love how it keeps moving and flows easily from one to the other. Can't wait to perform it in church!
I bought the Sedna piano sheet when I bought the Lakshmi piece, as three pieces were more cheap compared to bying them one by one. I started playing with Lakshmi and afterwards with Sedna. Sedna sounds a little bit like Lakshmi: it uses similar accords and styles. Sedna is slightly more difficult to play, but with many very enjoying accord sequences. So I would recommend: start with Lakshmi and then play Sedna! It's great music your family will enjoy.
