I like your music very much but although I am a quite trained pianist since 50 years to play it in your original speed is very challenging.
David is complete with his information in this instruction book. The contents goes from expectations, training, choosing a piano, Things to do now, posture, technique, fingering, listening, studying, performing, tips for parents. As a piano teacher for 55 years, I have never seen such an instruction book and I say, "Bravo!" to you, David, for bringing this information to the public in book form. I would suggest if you are a piano teacher that each of you download and use this information in your lessons. Better yet, get the parents to buy a book for themselves! It is so useful for the parent who is starting a young one with lessons. Also, for anyone who is taking lessons as well because they will have questions answered from reading this book.

I just started self-learning piano about a year and 8 months ago. Although this piece is probably outside of my ability, I fell in love with it immediately and just had to start learning. I never gave a lot of thought about this tune before but when I heard you playing Jurassic Park, I really enjoyed it very much. It also made me recall many years ago when I took my wife and kids to see the movie. Those were good memories that this music brings to me.

This is one of the most brillant piano transcriptions of what is possibly Bach's best know organ work. While challenging to play, it captures the real essence of Bach's work and stirs one's musical passion unlike other transcriptions. David Hicken has shown the "piano world" something quite new and amazingly creative while retaining the soul of Bach's work.

Even though David Hicken has been composing and being an inidmatic creative since early on....I only discovered his compositions a few weeks ago. I am thrilled . I am a.professional.lianist and teacher living in the North or Ireland . This year I have to give a little recital to the music college I teach at and I'm so happy to consider a few of David's works like the exciting 'Camille' and .maybe a couple of his energetic ' Incantations.' This music would correspond nicely to a movie with a setting in the British countryside of the 19th century - really beautiful!
