I love the one-pager option, thanks David for making it available! I love the the technicality of this composition and my plan is to use it for technique practice, kind of like Hannon. Since it is short, I should be able to play it every day as a part of my warm up without running out of time. And of course, it I just beautiful and very Bach! I also plan to use it, at first, for site reading practice - again, the length is just right for that. Would love to see more one-pagers!
The first time I heard it, I liked it. At the first moment. Very emotive. I love nostalgic music. Also, at least in my case, it was not so difficult to play (i have small hands and I am 53 years old and have lost piano potential). That was a factor for me wanting to play it. Beautiful really

I like the piece "Continuum", wonderful. I would like to play this piece in order to achieve more speed when playing piano. As a beginner again, I still have to work hard at it. But it's also just fun to listen to the song. I am looking forward to further compositions.

"Nostalgia" is another short gem that evokes the most beautiful sentiments and memories. A delight to learn and play! Whether composing long intricate pieces or short gems, David is certainly the best composer there is.
I heard your pieces through YouTube music and I liked them so much that I ordered the sheet music for Requiescat and The Messenger. They are lovely to play, I will be ordering more!
I am happy that David is continuing to compose short pieces. As soon as I heard Transcendence I was smitten by its vibrancy however had my doubts if I could learn it, let alone play it as cannot really manage fast pieces and told David about this. David was kind enough to encourage me and give me a few tips on how to tackle the piece. Once I learn it I am planning to play it on the harpsichord.

Arcana is different from the other David Hicken pieces, a heavenly mystic and spiritual sound. Five stars! Love it!
In my comments about the Symphonie Gothique collection, I mentioned how I'm learning to love organ music all over again. But in the Organ Works album, David Hicken is showcasing the amazing versatility of the Viscount organ. I'm crazy about the "orchestral" capability of the instrument and in "Arcana" the voices add a dimension that is just not possible with a church organ. My most favorite piece of this album is "Absolution" - again because of the richness of the voices. This album demonstrates that an organ like this is truly an orchestra in the hands of a consummate artist like David Hicken. I strongly recommend it for every music lover, whether classical purist or those with more modern tastes!
