The Bell Carol is a superb piece to listen to and even so to play it.
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that every pianist, of every age, should boast it in their musical repertoire. Magnificent composition David!
Fabulous playing. Tremendous compositions. A superb album indeed!!! Keep them coming David, keep them coming. Your music is heaven on earth.
I love this piece. Love the action of the left hand and melody of the right. My favorite part is when you change keys. You do that in a lot of your music and I think that really adds to the piece. You are the best.
This is an absolutely amazing arrangement of Carol of the Bells! So much fun to play and a perfect way to open up a Christmas program or play.
I purchased all three books together, Goddess, Angels and Faeries, for several reasons:
. David's music, with that great inspiration, a mix of Bach and Chopin, takes me to dream musical worlds.
. As a continuation of his instructional books, it seems coherent to me to start working on his repertoire.
. My level is still very low for most of these pieces, but opening these pages, and following them with their videos, is a great stimulus for my long-term goals.
. Collaborating humbly with a genius is also a pleasure.
. Highly recommended ALL the pieces!

My son is 9 and beg us to buy this song . He loves it so much . Thank you David
Listening to and playing 'Kuan Yin' makes us imagine we are sailing towards infinity. Amazing sensation!
I’m really enjoying learning to play this piece. It’s so pretty and now it’s stuck in my brain. 😂
This book is amazing and it's immediately obvious that time and effort has been put into the arrangements. This is the 2nd book I've bought and they do not disappoint

David’s version of these two Christmas Carols woven together is just beautiful. Very nostalgic and easy to listen to. Thank you for another lovely rendition of some of our favorite holiday songs. My goal is to play this for a Christmas party in a few weeks,
I have purchased several of David Hicken's pieces. Absolution for the organ is probably my favorite David Hicken composition. I opted to purchase the piano version and I am quite pleased. I am lucky that I play on a Yamaha Clavinova and I can split voices for treble and base lines so I can make the piece sound similar to the organ version. Even playing on the piano the piece is great and fun to play. I highly recommend this piece.
Kaiaka Bay is an overwhelming piece of much vast musical depth.... It's impossible not to be touched in the soul while listening to it. Thank you so much David for this transcendental experience. I'm very looking forward to playing it.

I am so excited to master this piece! The bass clef really tests the endurance of your left hand, which is a nice workout, ha. And it's overall just a really beautiful piece. Love it!
David wrote a wonderful arrangement of the traditional Christmas carol that in my opinion is a wonderful "concert version" with very beautiful interludes and surprising harmonies.
I was asked to play this piece as the feature music to open our Christmas Eve Services. It’s beautiful and fresh yet different. Not the usual traditional arrangements of these songs. It holds the audiences attention just to hear what’s coming next. I love the transitions too. As a classical pianist, it’s very Bach-ish in a contemporary way. . I love it.
