Sir Arthur

This is a playable and gentle piece you can drift away on, with a light and spacious melody in the right hand that shifts to a powerful left hand and back. It brings joyful memories thinking of someone special to you.

Hi
I love this song .. the melody just flows (like all your stuff) .. I learning this as a break from incantation (my favourite all time piano piece)
love your music love your conservatory with the glass and view … much appreciated

Easy notation but rhythmic patterns keep it interesting. Overall a beautiful piece that I love playing.

Hello David! I am enjoying this piece. I really like the delicate sound this piece has and the rather dreamy feel that it has. Thank you for another wonderful piece of music.

I was looking for one of David's slower pieces to learn, and "Sir Arthur" may be my new favourite! The melody is gorgeous, and the harmonies accent it perfectly. It's fun and easy to play, which is a great combination. I especially love the story behind the piece as well, which makes it even more special. I'm looking forward to learning the rest of this piece.

Two reasons why I got Sir Arthur. First, it is heavenly, like stars twinkling. Second, the reviews I read all mentioned that can be played without a struggle and is manageable. David, I want to thank you for your magnificent work, you are in a league of your own and your music is awe-inspiring.

First time in my life I awoke the other morning with Sir Arthur going through my head. I love all of David Hicken's music, but this has never happened to me before. I knew then that I had to purchase it. I did...And I played it right through the first time. A lot of his works, especially the long ones, require a great deal of time and work to master. This one, I haven't mastered yet....but I can play it without a struggle. Love it!

This is a lovely piece of music to listen to and to play. I am an adult returner to lessons, and this was a good piece to learn, manageable over several weeks and with interesting technical aspects to keep my teacher happy too.

Sir Arthur

I'm learning to play piano and I really appreciate the beauty and simplicity of this song.
