Toward the Horizon

My days are often very hectic, demanding, and emotionally exhausting. My energy is restored in the evenings after playing this piece. It has a deep meditative feeling to it that gets me back on track. Thank you, David.

Music is strange — it ends, yet it never truly ends. A few measures on a page, and suddenly you find yourself standing at the edge of something infinite, looking toward the horizon. Such a beautiful piece. Thank you, David, for brightening our days with your gorgeous music.

This beautifully flowing, upward-striving melody seems to transport the player and listener to a place where the earth touches the sky -as if the etherial sound would remind us that light will triumph over darkness. The piece feels natural under the fingers and is not too difficult to learn. I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful piece — clear, lyrical, and yet highly expressive. I love the natural flow of its phrasing, carried by a gentle motion. It gives me a sense of a quiet journey — like a slow walk through nature, where you pause, look around, and let the landscape speak to you.

And the harmonies add a warm glow to all of this — a warmth that unfolds softly as you play.
