When I first heard you, I was amazed by your wonderful playing, and my amazement increased when I learned that most of what you play is from your own compositions, which remind us of the compositions of the great Baroque and Classical masters, with your own special flavour.

I really appreciate Handel/Back type works. I never saw a modern composer that writes in a way like that. I would see new tracks and new golden germs like baroque compositions you did. But a little step back to Slow songs like Michael and Portrait Nonpareil?

Karmic Reprise is a wonderful composition reminiscent of Bach, bringing baroque elements of symmetry and balance to our times! Many of David's pieces take us through time travel! So I find Bach, Mozart, Chopin and e.g. Debussy in them and am happy about a composer who has not forgotten these greats! Nevertheless, all compositions have their own character and reflect the being of David Hicken!
