This, in my opinion, is by far the best arrangement of this piece of music and captures perfectly the dynamic of the original from Handel's Messiah. The carefully crafted blending and dialogue of voices endows this arrangement with a grace and delicacy which is breathtaking. To play David Hicken's arrangement is pure joy.

I love this piece of music. This work from Handel's Messiah is one of my favorites and this arrangement for piano is fantastic. It is rich and full with runs and polyphony that are so beautiful when played by the symphony orchestra. I am so
glad I am able to sit down and basically sight read it at a slow pace. It will take practice for me to get it up to speed but I am loving playing it. My level of playing is intermediate. Thank you David Hicken!

This transcription of a favorite takes a glorious choral work and adapts it into a piano solo that is sonorous, challenging and yet, playable. This is the only adaptation of this song I’ve found and it does not disappoint. The word “triumph” seems befitting the arrangement and subject matter.
